Abby's Week

While we were at the hospital, Abby was being treated to a few days of fun from her aunt, Honey. They went to the movies, to the mall to ride the carousel, and came to hospital for a visit. She had a lot of fun with Honey and will miss her.

Maddie is here!

Madeline Faith Reinhard arrived on Sunday, March 16th, at 5:36 am. It was a fast and furious process. My water broke at 2:45 am - we finally got to the hospital at about 3:30. After some very painful contractions, finally getting the blessed epidural, and about 10 pushes, she entered our world.

We had both grandparents in town - Pawpaw, GG, and Nanna. And, Honey (my sister) stayed for the week to help with Abby.

Can Abby fit into Maddie's bed?

I'm coming home!

First family photo.

Getting ready for the ride - she's so tiny!

Hollie was there to help us leave the hospital - in a pretty dress!

Be very gentle!!

Flower Girl

Abby made her first debut as a flower girl in Dan's cousin, Terri's, wedding. Terri married Michael on Dec. 29th. Abby did an amazing job! She walked down the aisle with the ring bearer, Sam. She called him Sams (maybe that is due to our love of bulk shopping). They did a great job of holding hands and walking together. The wedding was beautiful. It was an outdoor wedding - a little chilly - but very pretty! Elaine, Dan's mom, made Abby's dress and jacket! Thank you, Elaine!

Abby had a blast at the reception. She danced all night long. She even danced blisters on her feet! We knew she had lots of energy, but who knew she had such a love of "dancing" (more like jumping to the music). We're not sure who she's dancing with - that could be a problem! We're hoping the attention from the older boys is not indicative of our future.

Aunt Lois

Abby and I went to visit our great Aunt Lois earlier this month in Louisiana. Aunt Lois is 97 years young, lives in North Carolina, and volunteers at her local library! This was her first time to see Abby, so it was neat for the 2 of them to meet.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all of our friends and family. Here are a few of the pictures we took trying to get a good one for the Christmas card......it's a lot harder than you think to get a 2 1/2 year old to smile for the camera. Actually just look at the camera - we gave up on smiling.
It was a lot of fun and we got a lot of great pictures of Abby.
We hope that you have a very Merry Christmas and you experience and grow in the love of Jesus Christ this year. Abby is excited to make Jesus a birthday cake!

Santa Claus

We had "Breakfast with Santa" earlier this month. I thought Abby was going to do okay with visiting with Santa. That is until the boy in front of us starting crying. Then it was our turn, and Abby didn't want to have anything to do with that strange bearded man. Oh well - family photos with Santa are just as fun as individual photos.
We ask Abby what she wants for Christmas, and she tells us she wants a baby. It took a while, but we finally figured out that she wants a baby doll and not the baby in Mommy's tummy. We can definitely do that for Christmas!
